Military doctor loses job over sex with colleague's wife

According to a report by Premium Times, Lieutenant Bature was dismissed without honour by a Nigerian Army court-martial on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 after he was found guilty of a two count charge  of illicit sexual relationship and unprofessional conduct
The court-martial, which sat at the Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment of the 2 Division, Ojo, Ibadan in Oyo State, found the 38-years old military personnel guilty of the charges against him.
However, Lieutenant Bature's fate would be finally decided by a military council, which statutorily ratifies such sentences, it was further reported.
The law, according to the report, prescribes jail term and dismissal from service with dishonour.
It was further reported that the accused, a native of Kebbi State, allegedly had a notorious history of sexual indiscipline in his four years of service.
Bature’s offence, it was further reported, contravened Sections 79  and 93 of the Armed Forces Act CAP A20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
Brigadier General Raji, who is also the Commander of 52 Division Signals, presided over the Court Martial session in Ibadan.
