lol!... bus drivers who won £20million jackpot on Friday don't show up for work on Monday
Bus drivers who hit the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday did not show up for work on Monday morning, as they came to terms with their huge win.
Gareth Quinn, Area Manager for Dublin Bus, revealed that all 22 employees who won the €23.8million (£19.9million) last week were not at the Broadstone depot in Phibsborough yesterday.
Each of the men - believed to be 21 senior drivers and one inspector - are thought to have been given the day off, the Irish Mirror reports.
Mr Quinn said: "None of them were at work this morning and we've got no problem with that.
"Best of luck to them." Other Dublin Bus drivers expressed their feelings of happiness for their colleagues.
One employee, who did not want to be named, said: "None of them are here today, they won't be back in until later in the week.
"I certainly wouldn't be here if I'd won a million quid."
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket holder has made contact with them.
They tweeted this evening: "Ok so we didn't win the Euros but we did win the EuroMillions! Ticket holder has been in touch!!
He said: "We're delighted for them, absolutely thrilled. It's just great news.
"Our syndicate had the win on Tuesday. We had four out of the six numbers. We would have won €15m if the six had of come in."
There was overwhelming feelings of delight among the people in Phibsborough at the syndicate's win today.
Tina Mooney, from Ballymun, said: "There'll be no buses running today I'd say.
"It's great to hear that a big group of working class people have won it.
"Fair play to them, if you're not in it you can't win it
