High school sweethearts die holding hands after 58 years of marriage

 Two high school sweethearts who had been married for 58 years died as they had lived – together.
George and Ora Lee Rodriguez died holding hours, three hours apart, in hospital in San Antonio.

Both had been diagnosed with dementia, then George suffered a stroke, and died in his sleep – and Ora Lee passed three hours later.
They were surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was a week after their 58th wedding anniversary.
The couple’s daughter Corina Martinez said, ‘I just can’t believe something like this would ever happen, you hear this on the movies … like The Notebook.
‘We had them here at the house, in their hospital beds, right beside each other.They were holding hands.’
