Subhaan Ali, from Rotherham, was playing with friends in the Fitzwilliam Canal in Rotherham at about 7pm last night when he disappeared.

His body was eventually recovered at 11pm after a huge rescue operation was launched.

The craze involves jumping from height into water. A second youngster is also injured and in hospital.
Speaking today, firefighter Gary Willoughby told the Sheffield Star: "This 11-year-old boy was actually taking part in a pastime that boys of his age call tombstoning.
"Unfortunately it is aptly named....It's a very dangerous pastime. "
Neighbours to Ali described him as "the best little lad you could ever meet".
His family have been informed that a body has been found, and are being supported by officers.

One Community Rotherham claimed on Facebook that the boy went into the water initially to recover a friend's trainer.
Police were called to Stone Row Way, Parkgate at 7.05pm last night to reports of a person entering the water.
In a statement on Facebook, South Yorkshire Police said: "Following an extensive search of a Rotherham Canal yesterday, we can confirm that specialist teams have recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy.
